The Festival of the Sea: 21 - 31 May 2010

Location mapOban celebrated its first Festival of the Sea in May 2010 with over 50 events run at diverse venues around the Oban area. The organisers at the Scottish Association for Marine Science are determined to build on the success and deliver an even bigger and better Festival during May 2011.

Events included a parade and opening event, art exhibitions, numerous open days, lunchtime and evening lectures, discovery walks, marine sport sessions, photography, Gaelic and cooking workshops, a public debate, boat trips, a closing ceilidh and much more. Just have a look at the diverse events to get a taste for the future.

If you have an idea for an event for 2011, or would like to become otherwise involved with this community festival, please contact Anuschka.Miller@sams.ac.uk as soon as possible.
